Bagrodia's claim is that the vocabulary founders use about themselves — tenacity, resilience, hustle, burnout — names brain networks, not virtues, and that the conscious mind everyone tries to reform is roughly one per cent of who they are. Entrepreneurs, on his reading, are people whose passion networks outshout their anxiety and self-doubt networks long enough to jump. The rest follows from that premise. Every smoker has seen the images on the pack; knowing sits in the 1%, so knowledge does not fix addiction. Consumer headbands are worse than useless, he argues, because they cannot read the cerebellum, which holds 80% of the brain's roughly 100 billion neurons. The few who quit by decision usually had a trauma, a shock or a surge of inspiration shake the pattern for them, and many of those relapse when the motivation dries up.

His strongest technical objection to consumer neuro-gadgets is not accuracy but coverage. None of them, he says, capture the whole brain, and none capture the cerebellum — the 'little brain' named for its size, which nonetheless holds about 80% of the brain's roughly 100 billion neurons. Draw a conclusion about your memory, mood or anxiety from data missing four-fifths of your neurons and you are, in his words, grossly miscalculating. The no-AI stance is a product decision, not a shortage
